Porsche is Getting it’s Own Comic Book

July 26th, 2019 by

Porsche Panorama, the Porsche Club of America’s multiple-award-winning official magazine publication, has announced it’s collaboration with bestselling author Alma Katsu and esteemed illustrator Victor Santos to produce Porsche’s first serialized graphic novel, “Spy Collector.”

First released to Porsche Club of America members in July’s Porsche Panorama issue, Spy Collector is also being published online at www.pca.org/, where the general public can read along.

Spy Collector is set to follow espionage adventures centering around a recently deceased vintage Porsche collector who possessed a Cold War-era secret. Porsche fanatics can reportedly look forward to a few cameos from “familiar faces in the Porsche world.”

“We are thrilled beyond belief to extend Porsche Panorama’s 64-year tradition of attracting top content-creation talent, this time to a type of storytelling that is both exciting and entirely new to the publication,” said Editor-in-Chief Rob Sass.

Spy Collector’s stories are bound to be mesmerizing and delightfully realistic, seeing as how author Alma Katsu certainly has experience with the theme. Katsu spent 30 years working with the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency, and the Department of Defense before becoming a bestselling novelist. In fact, the king-of-horror himself, Stephen King called Alma Katsu’s recent horror novel “deeply disturbing and hard to put down.”

Illustrator Victor Santos also brings an impressive repertoire to this graphic novel project. Santos has the popular webcomic “Polar” under his belt, which was developed into a live-action movie and featured on Netflix in 2019. He has won multiple international awards for his work in comics, and has had more than one project make it to the list of New York Times bestsellers.

Since it’s creation in 1955, the Porsche Panorama publication has been critically acclaimed time and time again for its featured photography, articles, and design. But it has never attempted an artistic collaboration project quiet like Spy Collector before, and so far, the idea has been highly anticipated and received very well from Porsche Club of America members and Porsche fans alike.
